Cash on delivery (COD)

With Cash on Delivery, the customer doesn’t pay anything online. They hand the money to the courier when the order is delivered. It’s the most common payment method in Bangladesh.

Steps

1. In your dashboard, open Integrations and go to the Payment tab.
2. Tap the Cash on Delivery card.
3. (Optional) Add instructions for the customer — for example, “Please keep the exact amount ready.”
4. Turn the method on and tap Save.

Note: Any instructions you add are shown to the customer at checkout, so keep them short and clear.

How it works

When a customer chooses COD, the order is created as unpaid. The customer pays the full amount in cash to the courier on delivery. Once you receive the money, you can mark the order as paid.

Tips

• COD is on by default for new stores, so you can start taking orders right away.
• To reduce risk on COD orders, you can ask for a small advance online with partial payments.
