Buy a domain

If your plan offers it, you can search for and buy a brand-new domain without leaving Sohoj Dokan. Once it’s paid for, it’s attached to your store for you.

Steps

1. In your dashboard, go to Advanced → Domain and open the Buy tab.
2. Type the name you’d like and tap Search. You’ll see which options are available along with their price in BDT (per year).
3. Tap Buy next to the domain you want.
4. If you have a promo code, it’s applied at checkout. You’re then taken to the secure PayStation gateway to pay.
5. After a successful payment, the domain is registered and attached to your store automatically.

Note: Buying domains may not be available on every plan or in every region. If you don’t see the Buy tab, you can still connect a domain you already own.

Bangladeshi .bd and .com.bd domains

You can also register Bangladeshi .bd and .com.bd domains right from the dashboard. Because these are regulated, they take an extra verification step that international domains like .com or .net don’t:

• Identity documents (KYC) are required. In the Domain contact & documents section, add your WHOIS contact along with your National ID number and any documents requested, such as a Trade License. Domains that need this show a Documents required badge in search results.
• They don’t activate instantly. After you pay, a .bd or .com.bd domain goes into manual review — its status reads Under review while our team verifies it, and it connects to your store once verified. Unlike .com and .net, it is not attached automatically the moment payment succeeds.

Note: Add your identity documents before you buy — if they’re missing, you’ll be prompted to complete them first. Prices for .bd and .com.bd are shown in BDT per year, just like other domains.

Managing your domains

Open the My Domains tab to:

• See each domain’s expiry date.
• Turn auto-renewal on or off so it never lapses unexpectedly.
• Renew a domain manually before it expires.
